It'll help dormant seeds germinate as well as helping control next summer's insect population and will kill off a load of slugs and snails as well. Love seeing the garden blanketed in white. Very Happy

Sorry to be a bah-humbug but I'm now really fed up with being cold Crying or Very sad

Not so much at home as we have fabulouso under-floor heating from our geo-thermal underground pump & a log burner.....but it's the having to dress up in umpteen layers to go out and in the shop as it's not so warm in there - about 12 degrees if I'm lucky!! Good so the creams don't go off I suppose Rolling Eyes but it means having the door shut too which makes me feel cut-off from the outside world Sad

Sorry to be such a misery but I loathe this time of year........[off to hibernate] Wink

The village road has lots of snow and is very compacted and icy underneath. Once you get onto the main road it is not too bad at the moment, although a lot of the pavements are very slushy. At least this cold weather will kill a lot of germs and help make the soil more crumbly. Very Happy I will however be glad when it has all gone! Wink Laughing

All the snow and freezing weather has seen off all my winter bedding plants.

Tubs and baskets not looking very good.

Is this the same for everyone else?
